Rename a folder
rename_folder
Changes the name of one folder and leaves its slug, and with it the dashboard URL, as it is.
To change the URL as well, use update_folder_slug. Renaming needs either that you created the folder or the Edit folders permission in its workspace. See Folders.
Request
Call it with a POST to https://api.modulify.ai/v1/rename_folder, sending the inputs below as a JSON object. The token needs the sites:write scope.
It makes changes, so send an Idempotency-Key header whenever you might retry it. A retry with the same key gets the first answer back instead of running again.
curl -X POST https://api.modulify.ai/v1/rename_folder \
-H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_TOKEN" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"folderId":"FOLDER_ID","folder_name":"FOLDER_NAME"}'Over MCP, the same method is the rename_folder tool.
