# delete_folder

Permanently deletes one folder without deleting the sites inside it.

The sites simply stop being grouped and sit loose in the dashboard again. The folder itself cannot be recovered. Deleting needs either that you created it or the **Delete folders** permission in its workspace. See [Folders](https://modulify.ai/docs/projects/folders#delete-a-folder).
