# show_live_changes

Picks the running chat whose unfinished changes the preview shows on top of the merged site, or shows the merged site alone.

Multiple chats are a paid plan feature, and each chat works in its own copy of the site. While chats run, the preview shows the merged site plus the unfinished changes of one running chat, and `list_chats` names that chat in `live`. This is the button on the preview's address bar that reads `Live: Pricing page` or `Merged site only`. See [The live preview](https://modulify.ai/docs/build/multiple-chats#the-live-preview).

Pass the `chatId` of a running chat to show its changes, or leave `chatId` out to show the merged site only until no chat is running. The preview is shared, so this changes it for everyone who has the site open. Anyone in the workspace can use it.

The response carries `live`, the chat now shown, or `null` for the merged site only.
